YouTube Video VVVvRlpWYTFaMUpoRWV1TGdPc1VxM2NnLlUxdmRFTHB0YkFF Every great project has a story, but not every story is told in a way that wins. This webinar walks CIOs, technology leaders, and their teams through what it takes to turn a strong project into a strong CIO100 Awards entry. We're bringing together the people closest to the judging process to demystify what happens after you hit submit, and what separates the entries that place from the ones that don't.

Digital is assumed to be clean. It isn't. Every new data centre draws power, every AI workload adds load, every fleet of devices becomes tomorrow's e-waste, and government, as the country's largest buyer of technology, sets the pace for all of it. As the country digitises harder and leans into AI, does the public sector's own footprint grow unchecked, or can it digitise and shrink at the same time?
Assume the early-warning system works: the drought is forecast, the shortfall flagged, the price spike visible, and people go hungry anyway. Where does the technology end in the gap between an accurate warning and a fed population? If the data saw it coming, whose failure is the hunger that follows?

LATEST MAGAZINE

The CIO Africa magazine is your source for the most current thinking on the pressing issues at the intersection of business, technology, and leadership. We work hard to bring you insightful articles and commentaries from leading minds across industries to help you stay on top of the trends shaping our world.

The August 2026 editions of CIO Africa magazine bring together three governance-focused technology voices from across the continent. West Africa’s Eng. Nasir Shinkafi (Galaxy Backbone Limited) confronts Nigeria’s position at the heart of Africa’s digital paradox, while East Africa’s Angela Wamola (GSMA) champions digital transformation that works for everyone, and South Africa’s Tando Luyaba (Information Regulator) has built an award-winning career protecting one of the nation’s most valuable assets. All three editions form part of the Smart Gov special issue and explore the delicate balance women in leadership must strike to avoid an Icarus-like fall.
