FiveNines Joins Nexus On 20MW AI Data Centre In Morocco
FiveNines Group, an infrastructure company, has joined Nexus Core Systems to design a planned 20MW AI data centre in Morocco, part of a 180MW AI factory project.
The Nexus AI Factory was agreed under a memorandum of understanding signed at GITEX in April 2026. Nexus and its international partners intend to deliver the 180MW project “next year”, according to Connecting Africa, which did not specify the year. Neither company disclosed an investment figure or named the other partners.
FiveNines will lead the project team through early-stage work: the brief, feasibility studies, design strategy and concept design. The aim is a coordinated design package for engagement with authorities and for permit applications. Its remit includes design management, technical governance, consultant coordination, constructability and procurement planning.
