Jubilee Group Appoints Juan Cazcarra As Group CEO

Jubilee Group has appointed Juan Cazcarra as its new Group Chief Executive, effective December 1, 2026, succeeding Dr. Julius Kipngetich, who will retire on November 30 after serving in the role since 2018.

Cazcarra joined Jubilee Group in July 2021 and has served as Deputy Group CEO since April 2025. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held senior leadership roles across Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa.

During his tenure at Jubilee, Cazcarra has contributed to the Group’s digital transformation agenda, operational efficiency, process simplification and service delivery.

His experience across diverse markets, alongside his understanding of Jubilee’s business and the insurance sector, is expected to support the Group’s next phase of growth.

“Having worked closely with the Group’s leadership and contributed to our progress, Juan brings extensive industry experience, institutional knowledge and a clear understanding of our business and ambitions,” said Jubilee Group Chairman Zul Abdul.

“We are confident in his ability to build on our achievements and lead the Group through its next phase of growth.”

Cazcarra holds a Master of Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and a bachelor’s degree in Law from Universidad de Zaragoza, both in Spain.

Jubilee also recognised Kipngetich’s contribution during his eight years as Group CEO, citing his role in strengthening the company’s regional position, championing sustainable growth and investing in talent development.

The leadership transition marks a new phase for Jubilee Group as it continues to pursue growth and transformation across East Africa.
