Egyptian EdTech, 3C Coding School, Raises $3M
Egyptian EdTech company 3C Coding School has closed a $3 million Seed funding round that it plans to use to expand into Saudi Arabia and develop an artificial intelligence-powered learning platform.
The equity investment was led by MRG Economic Group, headed by Egyptian businessman Mahmoud Ramadan, with participation from investor Amr Saad and a group of angel investors.
Founded in 2015 by Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School provides technology education for children and young people, with courses covering areas including software development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, game development and cybersecurity.

The company says it has reached more than 120,000 students and recorded a 230% increase in revenue. The latest funding comes as demand for technology skills and digital education continues to grow across the Middle East and North Africa.
Saudi Arabia will be the company’s immediate expansion market. 3C plans to develop locally tailored programmes and work with partners in the Kingdom as it seeks to grow its student base outside Egypt. Part of the funding will also go towards developing an AI-powered learning platform. The system is expected to use AI to track students’ progress and learning patterns and adjust course content according to individual needs, while also providing support to instructors.
Hossam Hosny, Founder of 3C Coding School, said the company’s focus on technology education goes beyond teaching coding.

“When we launched 3C in 2015, we were driven by a core belief that technology would become an indispensable part of every child’s future. Coding isn’t just for future software engineers, it is a fundamental medium for teaching kids how to think, innovate, and solve complex problems”.
Hosny further said the new funding would support the company’s next stage of expansion, including its work on AI-driven education.
“We don’t view the next phase as simple geographic expansion,” Hosny added. “It is an opportunity to reinvent how the next generation interacts with and learns technology. That is why AI development lies at the very heart of our forward-looking strategy. Our ultimate mission is to bring accessible, high-impact tech education to millions of young minds across the region, transforming them from mere consumers of technology into the creators and innovators of tomorrow”.
