Athman Ali Appointed Head Of Partnerships – CEMEA At Visa

Athman Ali has been appointed Head of Partnerships – Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA) at Visa Government Solutions, marking a significant addition to the company’s leadership team. Based in Dubai, he will oversee partnerships across 92 countries, supporting governments in enhancing service delivery through payments, digital identity, and digital wallets.
Ali brings more than 27 years of international experience to the role, with a strong background in public sector innovation, digital transformation, and global partnerships. He has held several senior leadership positions, most notably at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, where he served as Senior Advisor and Global Lead for Digital and Tech Transformation. He also played key roles at the Mastercard Foundation, Chemonics International, and the World Bank, working on transformative projects across Africa and Asia.
Reporting to Svyatoslav Senyuta, Ali will lead efforts to scale Visa’s government solutions across the CEMEA region, focusing on driving inclusive economic growth and digital infrastructure development.
