MTN Zambia announced that it has been appointed an authorized reseller of SpaceX’s Starlink satellite Internet service. MTN Zambia will provide professional installation, local technical support and customer service to ensure a smooth experience for enterprises, NGOs and government institutions. As part of the agreement, MTN Zambia will market Starlink Business broadband kits and packages across the country, focusing on underserved, rural, and peri-urban areas where conventional Internet is limited. The telco says the deal aligns with its goal of “delivering the benefits of a modern connected life to everyone” and supports the Zambian government’s digital transformation agenda.
According to MTN, customers will be able to purchase and activate Starlink user terminals at selected MTN retail outlets and through dedicated account managers. . Abbad Reda, CEO of MTN Zambia, emphasized the social impact of the deal, saying, “The partnership with Starlink demonstrates our unwavering commitment to bridging the digital divide in Zambia. By bringing reliable, high-speed internet to every corner of the country, we are empowering communities, businesses, and institutions to thrive in a connected world”.
