Thomas Motlepa Appointed CTIO Of MTN Uganda
MTN Uganda has announced the appointment of three people into their executive committee, including Thomas Motlepa, who joins as the Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO).
The other appointments include Franklin Kano Ocharo joining as the General Manager of Growth and New Business and Peace Kabatangare Zulu who joins as the General Manager of Internal Audit and Forensics.
Motlepa, the new CTIO at MTN Uganda, has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications sector and has a proven track record in engineering and technical leadership. He had worked with leading telecom companies, including holding key leadership roles across multiple MTN markets, such as MTN Ghana, MTN Zambia, and MTN Nigeria, focusing on network optimization, digital transformation, and innovative technology solutions.

His extensive experience in strategic planning and project management has equipped him with a deep understanding of the technology landscape and customer needs.
“As CTIO, Thomas will drive our mission to provide exceptional connectivity and services to our customers. His commitment to harnessing cutting-edge technology will be pivotal in enhancing our network capabilities and ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the telecom industry in Uganda,” MTN Uganda said in a LinkedIn post.
