Njoki Karungu Joins MarketForce As Chief People Officer
Njoki Karungu has been appointed as MarketForce’s Chief People Officer. She joins Marketforce from Bio Foods Products where she was the Head of People and Culture.
MarketForce provides a B2B retail marketplace for informal merchants in Africa to source, order and pay for inventory digitally and conveniently, access financing, collect and digital payments among other functions.
While commenting on his new appointment, Njoki said: “I am delighted to circle back to the tech industry, joining MarketForce as Chief People Officer, a company that is building the largest retail distribution network in Africa. An opportunity to make an impact, continuously stimulate my mind and learn, while doing meaningful work for my continent is something not to be taken for granted! Njoki has also worked for different global organizations where she was in charge of human resources. Her 16-year mix of experience includes strategic management consulting from Deloitte, exposure to rigorous banking processes and operations from Citibank, world-class talent management practices from Nielsen and the agility and problem solving of a technology start-up environment from mSurvey.
Njoki was recognised as one of the 8 foremost African thought leaders in HR in the 2020 HR Trends Prediction Survey run by iPerformance Africa. She has won multiple awards and been recognized for her excellent delivery in her different roles.
