Infinix has launched its latest edition of smartphones, the Hot 50 series. The series replaces the previous Infinix Hot 40 series, which debuted last year December. The Infinix Hot 50i is top rated model among the HOT 50 lineup.

The Hot 50i showcases a striking ultra-oval, dual-rear-camera design with an ultra-slim profile of just 8.1mm and a lightweight build of 184g. Its sleek design aims to make the device is comfortable to hold and use. The device also features a 6.7-inch punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering different colors and a fluid navigation for scrolling through social media, watching videos, or gaming. Featuring dual speakers that boost sound clarity by up to 300 percent. Additional features include a 5m LED flashlight and a USB Type-C charging port, as well as the ability to support dual SIM functionality.

Under the hood, the Hot 50i is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset with options for 4GB/6GB of RAM, complemented by an additional 8GB through Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE). The device also offers 256GB of expandable storage.

The camera capabilities of the Hot 50i features a 48MP main camera and the 8MP front camera for selfies, while various modes such as AI cam, Portrait, and Slow motion enhance the photography experience. Both the rear and front cameras support video recording at 1080p.

The device has a 5,000mAh battery that gives the user enough power for 14.2 hours of power with an 18W FastCharge feature. Additionally, the device has a IP54 certification for dust and water resistance, making it a reliable companion for outdoor adventures.

The Infinix 50i runs on XOS based on Android 12, delivering a user-friendly experience with a range of features. Infinix has also incorporated some AI features including ASK AI which serve as a personal assistant on your phone. Then there’s also Folax, which lets you control music, calls, and more.

The Infinix HOT 50i is available in Kenya starting at $106 (Ksh 13,699) and comes in Titanium Grey, Sage Green, Dreamy Purple, and Sleek Black.
