CIO Africa Is Official Media Partner For MWC

Dx⁵’s Media Brand, CIO Africa, has entered into an agreement to become the official media partner at the upcoming MWC Kigali, set for the 17^th to 19^th of October 2023, in Rwanda, Africa.

The GSMA MWC Kigali convenes international industry leaders and high-level African policymakers, combines technology with purpose and fuels innovation to advance the digital economy of the continent. This prestigious event is set to be a major highlight in the African tech calendar for 2023.

Dx⁵’s Co-Founder and Chair, Harry Hare, expressed his excitement following the agreement saying how important an event the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Kigali is to the growth of digital transformation in Africa.

“We are excited to announce that we have signed an agreement to become the official media partner of the MWC Kigali event which is one of the highly anticipated for technology events in the continent. We are glad for this opportunity to play our role in the development of technology in the continent,” Harry remarked.

This year’s edition of the GSMA MWC Event is set to bring together different thought leaders in the mobile technology space in Africa. It does not only bring together those working in the mobile production and development but also those that come up with different technologies that are easy to support on mobile phones.

The growth of mobile technology in Africa has significantly contributed to the growth of technology and digital transformation in the continent. The penetration of mobile technology to the remotest part of the continent have helped startups providing mobile-based technology to get their solutions to more people in the continent.

Rwanda has severally played host to this prestigious event, being one of the countries that are at the forefront of growing technology in Africa. Rwanda President, Paul Kagame, has been among the African leaders pushing for the growth of the digital economy in the continent.
