Kenya is keen on forming partnerships in ICT, agriculture, energy, financial services and manufacturing, President Uhuru Kenyatta has said. He made the remarks in a video address to the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles, California in the United States from Sagana State Lodge.

KRA makes changes to iTax system
Kenya Revenue Authority has introduced a raft of new changes to the iTax system aimed at encouraging use of online for the tax filing aimed at boosting tax compliance and revenue collection. Among the key changes include introducing a single number for tax payers transacting online. Tax payers will now be required to use only their PIN number when submitting returns for PAYE, Excise and VAT.
Free Wi-Fi links Nyeri town to fast internet

NYERI county residents with smartphones or laptops can now access the internet at no cost. Launching free Wi-Fi on Monday at Whispers Park in Nyeri town, Governor Nderitu Gachagua said the service is free, fast and reliable.

Ghost workers afraid of Kiambu’s ‘e-exorcism’
Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has said ghost workers will be struck off the register after the electronic data registration. Speaking in Thika town yesterday, Kabogo said the Biometric registration, which was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta last month, will help in assessing the county workers when it begins in the county next week.
Liquid Telecom connects KCB’s 24 branches in South Sudan
Liquid Telecom Kenya has expanded its partnership with KCB, the biggest banking network in East Africa, to now connect all the bank’s 24 branches in South Sudan via Very Small Aperture Technology (VSAT). This enables the branches to access Internet links to the world’s satellite communication network, allowing faster and more efficient banking services for its South Sudanese customers.
