Internet Society Kenya Chapter to get new Constitution
The Internet Society (ISOC) Kenya chapter is finally getting to consider a new constitution after several months of waiting. This Saturday, members will converge at iHub Research in Nairobi to deliberate and adopt a new constitution. Management of the Kenyan chapter of the Internet Society had previously been dissolved or shut down following various internal and management problems but in March this year, it was put under Rejuvenation that was closely monitored by the International arm of the Internet Society.

C4D Lab, Google partner to launch tool for measuring internet speeds in Kenya
The University of Nairobi’s C4D Lab in partnership with Google today launched Measurement Lab (MLab) Node, an online tool that enables people to get objective data on the speed and quality of broadband connections in Kenya.
Cellulant nominated for Africa Innovators Financial Technical Awards

Cellulant has been nominated for the 100 African Innovators Financial Technical (FINTECH) Awards 2016 to be presented in Johannesburg in October next year. FinTech Africa, which connects start-ups with investors, long listed Cellulant at the FinTech Africa Event in Cape Town earlier this month, as one of the companies that will contribute to changing the financial landscape in Africa and who are particularly innovative.
Angaza raises $4 million for PAYG solar expansion
Kenya and US based pay-as-you-go (PAYG) platform for solar energy devices Angaza has raised US$4 million to expand globally, aiming to bring affordable renewable energy to 1.2 billion people living off-grid.
