KENIC to be licenced to help expand .ke’s domain name space
Kenya Network Information Centre (KENIC) is going to be licenced so that it expands the space of the domain names .ke to make people move away from other domain name spaces. This was announced by Eng. Francis Wangusi, Director General Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), during a press briefing held during his formal introduction to the industry following his re-appointment as the Director General of the regulator for a term of four years.

GT Bank launches Kenya’s first platinum MasterCard
Guaranty Trust Bank Kenya (GTBank) announced the launch of the country’s first platinum MasterCard, an announcement that is expected to contribute to the growing use of electronic payments in Kenya. Ms Ibukun Odegbaike, Managing Director, GTBank, East Africa says: “The GTBank Platinum MasterCard enables us to provide our affluent customers with a financial product that meets their constantly changing banking needs. KRA hits 2-millionth user mark for iTax

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has sealed a major milestone in its organisational transformation journey, with the registration of its 2millionth iTax client. As at midnight Tuesday (30th June), the KRA’s, taxpayer recruitment drive, anchored on online tax filings, had managed to register approximately 2 million iTax users heralding a new dawn in the use of information technology systems for tax administration.
National Treasury gives list of documents to be processed via TradeNet portal
The national treasury has informed all concerned parties that certain documents will be processed through TradeNet system as of July. The announcement was made through a public notice posted on KENTRADE’s official website by Dr Kamau Thugge, PS, National Treasury.

Six roles for Wangusi as he starts his second term at CA
Today marked the formal introduction of Eng. Francis Wangusi to the industry following his re-appointment as the Director General of the regulator for a term of four years. Mr. Wangusi, emerged the best in an interview conducted by the Board and which attracted a total of 29 candidates, where six candidates were shortlisted.
