StarTimes invests in African content with introduction of 5 new channels
StarTimes Media has announced the introduction of five new entertainment channels on its platform with a key focus on African content. The five include iROKO Play, iROKO Plus, African Movie Channel Series (AMC), StarTimes Zone and a sports channel Sports Focus all of which will feature exclusive African movies, drama, comedy, series as well as sporting action as the company seeks to have a pool of relevant and entertaining content for the Kenyan audience.

Airtel Kenya’s network upgrade to be complete by end of May
The ongoing Airtel Kenya network upgrade in Nairobi is set to be completed in May 2015. Airtel had earlier announced a Kshs 2.5 billion investment to upgrade its network in Kenya in order to meet the demands for increased data and internet services. This upgrade will see Airtel customers in this region enjoy stronger signals and faster data speeds better internet experience on the Airtel Network.
Samsung opens ultra-modern brand store in Nairobi

Samsung Electronics has today opened the largest ultra-modern Samsung Experience Store in East Africa, sitting on a 5000 square meters area in the heart of the CBD, on Monrovia Street, Nairobi. According to Robert Ngeru, Samsung’s Vice President and COO, East Africa, the additional Experience Store is part of the company’s investment to expand its retail network and give customers an opportunity to experience the products and services: “This state-of-the-art store will give customers the opportunity to not only inquire about our devices but also experience them real-time, and with trained experience customer care representatives, the consumer will be able to make informed choices about their device of choice,” he said.
