Meet the man police link to Safaricom, NIC Bank frauds
The 26-year-old Information Technology expert at the centre of ongoing investigations into airtime theft at Safaricom is also facing separate criminal charges for his role in last December’s hacking of a bank’s system, it emerged on Thursday. Alex Mutungi Mutuku acknowledged that he is the same person who was charged with hacking into NIC Bank in January, adding that he believed Safaricom has singled him out from among the other suspects because of that case.

The Taka Taka Challenge invites entrepreneurs and startups, as well as experts and professionals from around the world to co-create winning solutions that make profit from waste. A special business plan challenge was launched on Thursday April 9 in Kisumu city, Kenya. The Taka Taka (Swahili for waste) Challenge is an initiative of the Dutch Social Business Incubator in collaboration with technology partner TNO.
Forum on critical infrastructure set for April 21

A task force formulated by three Cabinet Secretaries in the Ministries of Transport and Infrastructure, Energy and Petroleum and Information, Communications and Technology is calling on the public and on all stakeholders to a stakeholder consultative forum on Tuesday, 21st April 2015 at Bomas of Kenya, Langata, starting from 9.00 am. According to a notice published in the Daily Nation, the consultative forum will have a key focus on structuring a draft policy and legislative framework for the protection of critical infrastructure in the Country.
Innovation Dinner to address Security Convergence
