Vertiv Backs AI, Data, And Cybersecurity Roadshow
Vertiv has reaffirmed its commitment to Africa’s digital transformation agenda by coming on board as a sponsor of the AI, Data and Cybersecurity Roadshow, a multi-country initiative convening technology leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders across East Africa.
The sponsorship covers the full roadshow series, which has already made its first stop in Ethiopia, with the next edition set for April 23, 2026, in Kigali, Rwanda, at Four Points by Sheraton Kigali. The roadshow will then continue to Tanzania and Uganda in the coming months, extending its regional footprint and deepening conversations around emerging technologies and digital resilience. Vertiv’s participation underscores the growing importance of resilient, scalable, and intelligent infrastructure as artificial intelligence adoption accelerates across the continent.
At the Kigali edition, Vertiv will maintain a strong on-ground presence, including an exhibition booth and a featured speaking role. George Munai, Distribution Manager – East Africa at Vertiv, will lead a session titled “Powering AI at the Edge: How Intelligent Infrastructure is Reshaping Data Center Design in Africa.”

His presentation will examine the shifting demands on data center infrastructure driven by the rise of AI workloads. As organisations across Africa increasingly adopt AI technologies, the need for advanced power and cooling systems, as well as integrated edge-ready solutions, is becoming more pronounced. The session will highlight how edge computing is emerging as a critical enabler, particularly in markets where data sovereignty and low-latency processing are key considerations. By bringing compute capabilities closer to the source of data, organisations can unlock faster insights while maintaining control over sensitive information.
Munai is also expected to contribute to a panel discussion on “AI in Production — Lessons From the Frontlines,” where industry experts will share practical insights and real-world experiences in deploying AI at scale.
The AI, Data and Cybersecurity Roadshow continues to position itself as a key platform for advancing dialogue at the intersection of innovation and security. The series brings together stakeholders to explore how artificial intelligence, data, and cybersecurity can be effectively integrated to build a digital ecosystem that is both secure and innovation-driven.

With cyber threats becoming more sophisticated and data volumes growing exponentially, organisations are under increasing pressure to ensure that their digital transformation strategies are underpinned by strong security frameworks. At the same time, there is a need to foster trust in AI systems while enabling their responsible and ethical deployment.
Through expert-led sessions, panel discussions, and practical showcases, the roadshow aims to bridge the gap between theory and implementation. Participants gain insights into the latest technological advancements, as well as actionable strategies for leveraging AI and data while safeguarding critical assets.
Vertiv’s involvement in the roadshow reflects a broader industry shift toward building AI-ready infrastructure tailored to Africa’s unique market conditions. As digital adoption continues to accelerate, the ability to deploy efficient, scalable, and secure data center solutions will play a defining role in shaping the continent’s technological trajectory.
