TendePay, Pesalink Partner On Instant Payments In Kenya
Pesalink and TendePay announced a new partnership aimed at reshaping how Kenyan businesses manage and move money. By combining Pesalink’s instant payment network with TendePay’s spend management platform, the collaboration will allow organisations to make single or bulk payments of up to USD 7740 (Kes 999,999) instantly, at any time of day, and across all banks in the country.
TendePay, which started out as a petty cash management tool, has grown into a full spend management platform. With Pesalink’s affordable and reliable network, businesses can now manage everything , from salaries and supplier payments to utilities and customer collections in real time through a CBK-regulated system.
“This partnership reflects our evolution into a full spend management platform. With Pesalink’s trusted infrastructure, we are giving businesses a reliable, secure, and affordable tool to manage every payment, whether large or small, at any time,” said Abel Masai, CEO of TendePay.

This solution is designed for organisations that handle frequent and high-value transactions, including microfinanceinstitutions, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, contractors, logistics firms, HoReCa operators, and professional accountants. Together, Pesalink and TendePay are giving Kenyan enterprises the tools to move money smarter, and with greater control. According to FSD Kenya 2024, Kenya has over 7.4 million MSMEs employing nearly 14.9 million people,
contributing around 40 percent of national GDP. MSMEs remain underserved in financial services yet drive most economic activity across the country.
“At Pesalink, we believe collaboration is the key to helping businesses move different. Pesalink was built on the principle of interoperability to simplify payments by delivering instant and affordable transfers across Kenya’s financial ecosystem. By partnering with TendePay, we are extending these benefits to businesses of every size — giving them efficiency, financial control, and confidence in their daily operations,” said Gituku Kirika, CEO of IPSL.
Pesalink already enables instant account-to-account payments through more than 80 banks, SACCOs, telcos, and fintechs. The integration with TendePay extends these benefits by reconciling incoming payments automatically, reducing manual processes, and freeing up businesses to focus on growth.
