College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) at Makerere
College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) at Makerere University, Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs and the Marconi Society will host "Symposium on Transformative Digital Technologies" in Kampala on Wednesday, 3rd February 2016.

This symposium will showcase the work carried out by the Celestini Project at CEDAT as well as act as a forum for the discussion of technological breakthroughs that will deliver future networks to turbo-charge developing economies.

All papers and posters presented at the symposium will be reviewed by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) for consideration and selected posters will be displayed. Papers from other universities and 3rd level institutes in Uganda should also be presented at the symposium. The deadline for submission is the 18 January to: celestini@cedat.mak.ac.ug

Those that meet the expected levels of quality and technical content will be accepted for publication in the Symposium Compendium of Papers. Accepted posters will be printed by the symposium on behalf of the author.

Robert W. Tkach, Director of the Advanced Photonics at Bell Laboratories will be present at the event.
