This is after the university introduced Master of Science Degree Program in Mobile Telecommunications and Innovation at Safaricom Academy that will incorporate Mobile Learning Platform “goocus” in Education.

@iLabAfrica has runs Safaricom Academy since 2011 through a collaboration with Safaricom Limited. The Academy is designed to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the telecommunications sector by leveraging on mobile cellular technologies. This feasibility study targets students in the MSc. in Mobile Telecommunications and Innovation program (MSc.MTI) at the Academy, and provides them with an environment where they can engage in mobile and social learning.
Existing learning material will be provided by Strathmore University after which Castalia will support the conversion in order to integrate the material onto the mobile learning platform. With this feasibility study as a start, Strathmore University and Castalia intend to eventually scale the implementation of mobile learning to Strathmore’s undergraduate programs as well.
