Uganda’s Government is not the only Government in East Africa set to roll out free WI-FI in the country, as earlier reported by CIO East Africa, the Kenyan Government will soon roll out free Wi-Fi services countrywide.
The roll out will begin after the government installs the necessary infrastructure in all the 47 constituencies. This was revealed during a presentation done to the MPs in a Kamukuji at the chambers of Parliament buildings by the Cabinet Secretary for ICT, Mr Joe Mucheru.
The project to be undertaken by the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology will enable youths access to free internet.
