New Apple iOS Will Allow You to Use Face ID With Your Mask On
Apple is developing a new setting will allow people to use Face ID while wearing a mask by recognizing the unique features around the eyes to authenticate. The firm is adding two important features in the latest operating system build 1 and they are going to come in handy during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The latest operating system, iOS 15.4 Beta has a face ID that supports unlocking your phone while wearing a mask by recognizing the unique features around the eyes to authenticate. The company is also adding the ability for Face ID to work with people who wear glasses and a mask at the same time.
However, it’s worth noting that sunglasses aren’t supported on the new OS. If you wear both a mask and regular glasses, then you’ll find these features pretty handy. ID

According to pictures of the screen, Apple says that “iPhone can recognize the unique features around the eye area to authenticate” but warns that Face ID is going to be more accurate if you have it set to not work with a mask.
Apple adds that you won’t need to wear a mask during setup. Simply go to your iPhone Settings, scroll to Face ID & Passcode and select Use Face ID with a mask.
You won’t even need your Apple Watch to unlock your phone.
