MTN Business Kenya appoints new A/G managing director

Festus Kiragu has been appointed acting managing director of MTN Business Kenya following the departure of Kennedy Chinganya mid-last month.

Before being appointed to the position of A/G managing director, Mr Kiragu held the position of CFO, MTN Business Kenya for over a year.

“As the process of finding a successor is under way, Festus Kiragu has been appointed as acting MD of MTN Business Kenya. He is currently the Head of Finance for MTN Business Kenya, where he is responsible for the finance and administration of the business,” said a statement form MTN Business Kenya.

According to his Linkedin page, Mr. Kiragu describes himself as a high potential professional with international work experience possessing vast knowledge of the African market in Corporate Strategy, Commercial & Sales Planning, Operational Efficiency, Change Management, and Financial Management.

“My professional goal is to utilize my extensive work experience to drive business, harness human resource skills and become a trusted advisor to my business partners; while positively impacting lives across the continent,” Mr. Kiragu’s profile adds.

Mr. Chinganya, joined MTN Business Kenya in 2015 as the managing director. During his tenure, Mr Chinganya led the implementation of infrastructure projects resulting in the setting up of a tier 3 data centre. He also led the improvement of the operations compliance and governance structures in alignment to MTN Group guidance and requirements.
