Mitel Holds Its First Partners’ Seminar in Kampala
Mitel recently held a partner engagement seminar in Kampala, Uganda to showcase its product offering in the East African country. The event saw Mitel interact with existing partners in Uganda to further build relationships and confidence in its solutions in the country.
The company has been instrumental in the African market having started to gain footprint in the East African region over two years ago with Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda. Mitel is now looking to expand its wings in the Ugandan market, especially with this customer engagement seminar in Kampala.
Speaking during the event, Asif Khan, Mitel’s Channel Director for META & South Asia, outlined that the company is currently looking to recruiting channel partners with vertical expertise in the regions.

“We’re looking for the relevant channel partners in the regions who are more vertical based or specialised partners particularly in the banking industry – a key vertical in Uganda -, the government sector, contact centre and SME & mid-market segment. The purpose of this event was partners from these segments engage them, and see how Mitel can add value to their offerings,” Asif said.
Mitel offers a complete range of business communications starting from SME to higher enterprise solutions, suited to answer the needs of key verticals like hospitality, government, healthcare and education.
Even though Mitel already has existing customers in the Ugandan market and a local resource on ground to engage with customers, the vendor still aims at expanding further in the country.
