“Technology is currently Africa’s hottest commodity. Everyone wants a piece!” remarked dx5 CTDO, Andrew Karanja. “Now that our mandate has expanded beyond East Africa, we are happy to support MIE Group in launching AFTS into alternative African markets with a huge appetite for tech. He also added that, “The rapid digitization in Africa also exposes us to new risks every day, so it’s a relief that our new partner had the foresight to place technology and security on the same platform.”
Africa Technology & Security Show was first held in Morocco in 2019 as a platform that primarily serves as a catalyst for global trade & investment in technological innovations in the various sectors that are driving Africa’s growth. This year it will launch in Nairobi, East & Central Africa’s ICT capital, before continuing to expand into other African territories.
“In order to realize our vision for AFTS in the African market, we understood that we needed to partner with a reputable publication that has its finger on the pulse of Africa’s technology space,” remarked Edwin Masivo, Country Director, Global Exhibitions Inc. “CIO Africa has a long history of excellence including honouring, celebrating & awarding digital innovation and leadership in the region. We are confident that we will achieve many milestones together.”
