“This partnership with Acyberschool will enable us to train Kenyan youth on AI, emerging technologies, and cybersecurity solutions,” Okwiri stated. “This means that in the near future, we shall enhance our ability to have more jobs in the digital space.”
He added that the phased program is a top priority for both partners and believes that through mobilising resources together, they will be able to achieve a strategic advantage in delivering Jitume programs.
Currently, the Jitume Programme is being led by Konza Technopolis, the ICT Authority, and TVETS Authority, in collaboration with private sectors. Together, they are providing specialized training and resources. The MoU aligns with the goals of the Jitume Digital Skills Programme, a collaborative effort to develop Kenya’s digital workforce.
