.ke Domains Set For A Fee Increase From February 2025

The Kenya Network Information Centre (KeNIC) has informed domain hosts of a fee increase for 3rd level domains by 43 percent as from 1st February 2025.
This will result to domain hosts increasing the prices for the .ke domains that are regulated by KeNIC. In an email to CIO Africa, one of the domain hosts, HostAfrica, said that it will increase its prices for these domains.
Domain owners now have until the end of January to renew their domains at the current pricing before the prices increase. It would be advisable to renew for periods of 1 to 5 years to lock in the lower rates and also avoid a further increase in the pricing. The last time KeNIC increased the domain prices was in March 2021.
