Kaspersky’s SAS Returns After Four-Year Interlude

IT Security researchers, global law enforcement agencies, academics, and government officials from all around the globe have gathered in Phuket, Thailand for Kaspersky’s Security Analyst Summit. This is the first time in four years that the Summit is fully physical in four years after the pandemic’s disruption on physical events.

Since 2009, the Security Analyst Summit, led by Kaspersky, has been bringing together different players in the cybersecurity space. The primary objective of the Summit is to enhance collaboration in the fight against cybercrime, making it an ideal platform for engaging in discussions, exchanging valuable information, and showcasing the latest advancements in research and technology.

Speaking at the welcoming dinner and also when giving his opening remarks, Eugene Kaspersky expressed his excitement given the annual event is now back in face-to-face format. He further talked about IOT and Industrial security and how it is rising in importance.

“Professional criminal gangs are shifting and expanding towards the direction of physical infrastructure, production, transportation, etc. It is also important to have talks about improving IOT security,” he said promising the plenary on more discussions around the topic.

The SAS 2023 conference program has been set to mainly focus on the most crucial cybersecurity trends that have emerged over the past year, including recent and newly discovered Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), to providing insights into the most sophisticated cyberattacks, and explore the latest advanced tools and techniques employed by cybercriminals across the globe.

The event has been slated for 26^th and 27^th of October 2023 at the JW Mariott Hotel in Phuket, Thailand.
