Feeling silky and handy, yet possessing a weight in your palm, is Huawei’s silently launched Y series, the HUAWEI Y8p. As is the case with most smartphones today, Y8p targets Kenya’s mid-range mobile smartphones at the competitive price of Kshs 24,999.
It is more of a rebranded version of the Huawei Enjoy 10s that launched in October 2019. This makes it feel like a repetition when we talk about mid-range phone design. It is what we assume any mid-range smartphone looks like. However, it is its build that separates it from the rest.
Inspired by the beautiful contrast of light and shadow, the HUAWEI Y8p dazzles with elegant colours aptly named Breathing Crystal and Midnight Black. The 3D curved edges fit perfectly against the sleek, ultra-light body to deliver extra comfort.

With the 90.17 per cent screen-to-body ratio and 2400 x 1080 ultra-clear resolution, the 6.3” OLED Dewdrop Display provides a remarkable visual experience and cinematic colour gamut.2 Both bright and dark details are incredibly sharp and vivid when watching videos, playing games or browsing images.
In-Display Fingerprint
With the advanced In-Display Fingerprint technology, the unlock speed and success rate of HUAWEI Y8p is much improved. This is a fantastic feature. It works effortlessly when you are awakening the device or providing payment. Whenever you touch your phone, the screen lights up a fingerprint LED at the bottom of the screen where you just place your finger and voila! That simple. The feeling is magical.
The cameras will give you three-fold clarity.

No hiccups, smooth all through.
