Kenya’s leading digital terrestrial television provider, GOtv Kenya, has launched the GOtv signal in Migori.
Migori residents are now set to enjoy the best local and international programming from GOtv and benefit from easy access to an increased number of channels, with enhanced picture and sound quality synonymous with digital television at a price they can afford.
Speaking during the launch, Migori County Governor Zachary Okoth Obado said he was excited to hear that GOtv is opening up a world of entertainment for the people of Migori. He observed that his county will greatly benefit from the entry of GOtv ahead of the government’s June 2015 digital migration deadline.

“The launch of GOtv will play a pivotal role towards contributing to technological transformation and in the process will help the people of Migori have increased access to information through the numerous programmes available on GOtv. I commend GOtv for the commitment they have to ensure that every Kenyan has access to information.”
He urged his county to take advantage of the affordable prices of GOtv to purchase decoders and stay informed.
GOtv General Manager Felix Kyengo said GOtv has been actively involved in raising awareness about the digital migration, and not only has its pricing played a key role in the growth of decoder uptake.

“As a leader in the digital arena, we are happy that the residents of Migori can now enjoy the best local and international programming at an affordable price.”
He added, “GOtv boasts relevant international and local channels made in Africa for Africa to cater for a variety of entertainment for the whole family. Some of the channels available to GOtv subscribers include AfricaMagic World, Maisha Magic East, SuperSport Select 1 and 2, One Gospel, E! Entertainment, Telemundo, eTV Africa, ZEE World, Disney Junior in addition to local channels such as KBC, NTV, KTN, Citizen TV to mention but a few.”
The launch was part of the flag-off of the new GOtv consumer campaign dubbed GO Nayo which is aimed at informing and educating consumers about the products and services available on GOtv. The GO Nayo campaign will see GOtv traverse the country connecting and engaging with subscribers on their experiences using the decoders, as well as collect feedback on content available on the platform.
