Gebeya Rebrands To a Talent Cloud Provider
Gebeya, a Pan-African SaaS (Software-as-a-Service)-enabled marketplace based in Ethiopia, has announced a major transformation into an all-in-one Talent Cloud provider.
Gebeya’s journey began as an EdTech startup in 2017, aiming to train talents across the continent. It later evolved into a multi-sided marketplace, connecting tech talent with open roles. Now, with Gebeya 3.0, it’s introducing the Gebeya Talent Cloud (G-TC)—a smart platform powered by AI.
The AI-powered Talent Cloud solutions include Public, Private, Strategic, and Sourcing Talent Clouds, enabling users to source, vet, qualify, skill, build communities, and offer opportunities to qualified networks of individuals and professionals.

Amadou Daffe, Co-Founder & CEO of Gebeya, shared his thoughts on this exciting change, saying, “Our team has always been proactive about continuously innovating and providing employment or entrepreneurship opportunities to as many African talents as possible. From the beginning, Gebeya’s heart has always been in opportunity creation… all powered by technology. That is one component that will always stay constant for us. We are looking forward to helping our partners launch thousands of Talent Clouds in the coming years.”
One notable initiative is Gebeya’s collaboration with Microsoft, which resulted in the creation of a large-scale African Talent Cloud focusing on Microsoft Azure and AI skills in December 2023. This strategic partnership aims to bolster digital transformation efforts by seamlessly connecting businesses and professionals within the Microsoft ecosystem
On top of that, Gebeya signed a $48 Million partnership with the Mastercard Foundation last year, focusing on accelerating Ethiopia’s Gig Economy and entrepreneurial growth.
