Cellulant was recently honored as “Company of the Year” alongside founders Ken Njoroge and Bolaji Akinboro at the seventh annual African Diaspora Awards (ADA) in New York City.
Headquartered in Nairobi, Cellulant is a multinational payments company in Africa enabling businesses and consumers to accept and make digital and mobile payments with ease. The company is growing to fix Africa’s payments problem by working to digitize payments for Africa’s largest economies.
“Cellulant is a company that is born out of passion to do things differently and bring together the best that Africa has to offer. We are doing this by building the rails for a payment infrastructure that is powering African economies at scale,” said Ken Njoroge and Bolaji Akinboro as they accepted the award. “Our vision is to digitize payments for Africa’s largest economies by providing the glue that connects people to what matters to them everyday.”
