Bharti Airtel Africa is partnering with the 2015 International Telecommunication Union Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR). The symposium will go on for three days starting from, Tuesday the 9th of June 2015, to the 11th, in Libreville Gabon.
The GSR conference central theme is “Mind the Digital Gap – Regulatory incentives to achieve digital opportunities”.
The symposium will bring together the leaders of international telecommunications companies and regulatory authorities to explore ways to benefit consumers in the emerging digital economy.

In addition to the partnership, Airtel Africa Chief Executive Officer, Christian de Faria, will participate in a leadership panel discussion titled ‘Funding an inclusive digital society from infrastructure to data’.
The session will take place on Tuesday, June 9th 2015 from 10:15 am – 12:00 pm. The debate will examine the various investment opportunities and funding challenges in deploying ICT networks, providing access and supporting the development of new services and applications, to bolster access to knowledge in the digital world and reduce the digital gap.
Airtel continues to look for ways in which all citizens can benefit from social and economic opportunities brought about by the digital economy.
