CA responds to Hope FM frequency infiltration allegations
Communications Authority of Kenya has responded to the reports that have been circulating on social media that Hope FM frequencies were hacked or compromised last night.

Through its twitter handle – @CA_Kenya -, the regulator said that impressions created on social media of cyber-attacks against Hope FM were not true and it was just a technical mishap, whereby Hope FM technical staff switched off their Studio Transmitter Link (STL) to Limuru to carry out maintenance forgetting to switch off the STL receiver at Limuru.
Catherine Adeya exits CEO post at Konza Authority after 2-year stint
After two years as the acting CEO of Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA), Dr Catherine Adeya-Weya now completes her tenure and moves to the Authority’s advisory team.

This was announced yesterday by KoTDA Chairman of the Board of Directors, John Ngumi, during a press briefing that was held in Nairobi. Dr Adeya’s exit comes a few months after KoTDA announced recruitment of a new CEO for the project.
Ngumi said that the process of recruiting a new CEO was underway, adding that the Authority’s new boss would be announced in two months’ time.
US $1.3 million program to boost capacity of Kenya’s IT and ITES firms
The International Trade Centre, the joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations, has launched a project of the Netherlands Trust Fund (NTF) III program, focusing on enhancing export competitiveness in the Information Technology & Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) sector.
The project is a three-year initiative that will provide in-depth capacity building and market-penetration support to 33 small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as local exporting and export-ready companies. The project is specifically designed to enhance the capacity, competitiveness and exports of SMEs.
BrighterMonday job applicants to get instant alerts
Job listing website, BrighterMonday, is looking to grow its revenue base by offering clients additional services.
The upgraded portal is expected to enable job seekers to access their application history, showing information on whether employers have accepted or rejected them.
The job listing portal is under the One Africa Media group that received a capital injection of Kshs 1.8 billion from Australia-based recruitment portal Seek, which is also on an expansion drive in the continent.
According to Business Daily, Job applicants on the BrighterMonday website will now get automatic feedback from employers, after the online firm upgraded its portal to improve transparency for users.
