‘I am still in office…’ – Francis Wangusi
Francis Wangusi, the Director General, Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has denied allegations that he has been sent on compulsory leave pending the expiry of his first term as CA’s Director General. He said this at a press briefing held today at the CA headquarters in Nairobi.

The allegations that he was sent on compulsory leave came up following an advertisement that was placed on CA’s website, advertising a vacancy in his position.

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA)has kicked off the recruitment of a new Director General, ahead of the expiryof Francis Wangusi’s first term in August. This follows a notice that was posted on the CA site where The Authority advertised the position of the Director-Generalin line with the requirements of the Kenya Information Communications Act,1998, as amended in 2013.

MPs urged to create awareness one conomic benefits of e-waste

Members of Parliament have been urged to create awareness on the economic benefits of electronic waste and waste tyres in creating ‘green’ jobs for the youth. Addressing members of the Select Committee on Delegated Legislation during a retreat on e-waste and waste tyres regulations at the Travelers Beach Hotel in Mombasa, the Principal Secretary in the State Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Dr Richard Lesiyampe noted that, burning of waste tyres has become a health hazard due to poor management and lack of a regulation.
