BBC’s first travelling news bureau to pop up in Kenya this July
BBC’s travelling news bureau BBC Pop Up will be heading further afield to Kenya in July, ahead of President Obama’s visit to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Nairobi, taking place on Saturday, 25 and Sunday, 26 July. While in Kenya the unit will join forces with the BBC Africa team based in the country, to give communities both in Kenya and the U.S. their say on the visit.

Kenya introduces e-visa service
A new e-visa service for UK and Irish travellers to Kenya is being introduced this week. Visitors to the African country will be able to apply for entry visas in advance online via a dedicated portal at ecitizen.go.ke from Thursday (July 2).

A combined tablet and laptop, the Tecno WinPad 10 runs on Windows 8.1 with Bing Operating System (OS) is powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor, the detachable device comes in a package inclusive of the tablet, keypad and keyboard cover.

Kenyan brands have been urged to embrace and adopt digital advertising to reach their target consumers if a sustained growth of commerce is to be achieved. On average, the Kenyan user looks at their smartphone more than 200 times in a day which consists of time spent checking social media feeds to messaging on WhatsApp and e-mails. This translates to 23 million Kenyans being consistently online, a staggering 57% of entire Kenya’s population making.
