VW Rwanda’s ‘Uber-like’ app now available on Google Play, the App store

Volkswagen Rwanda has announced that their Move app is currently available for download on Google Play for Android users and on the App store for iOS users.

The company initially announced their plans to launch their Mobility Solutions through a statement posted on their website.

“We are pleased to introduce “Move” by Volkswagen a modern mobility solutions platform offering car sharing products and services,” reads a statement on their website.

Volkswagen Rwanda made the announcement via their official twitter handle stating: “Choose Move for your next outing with friends. Download the Move app off Google Playstore or the App store and order your first ride!”

“‘Move” by Volkswagen was developed by Rwandans for Rwandans and provides multiple solutions to your everyday mobility needs,” the statement continues.

Staying true to its status of, “by Rwandans for Rwandans” the company held an open discussion at Kigali Library, Rwanda in a bid to get the thoughts from the public on how the product would best suit them ahead of the launch.

User friendly UI

Just like most ride sharing apps, with Move all a customer needs to do in order to use it is to: Create/ login your move account, enter your destination and choose Pick up location, request a ride, driver on the way and then you Hop in and enjoy the ride!

The difference with Move and other ride sharing services is that customers will be picked up specifically in VW cars. Some of the models available are:
