Tala appoints Ivan Mboya the Primary Country Representative in Kenya

Previously the Chief Executive Officer of Umati Capital, Ivan Mbowa joins Tala as the country representative, responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and overall operational oversight of the business.

He brings over 14 years of experience delivering business results and building high performing teams across Africa, with a strong career around expanding access to finance in Africa, in international banking and venture capital-backed Fintech entrepreneur.

Speaking when welcoming Ivan to the team, Tala’s Human Resource Business Partner Rebecca Maruti said “Ivan is an eminent leader and a well-versed banker with an illustrious a career spent spearheading key banking functions.”

Mbowa succeeds Rose Muturi who recently joined HF Group after serving at Tala for the last three years and who was instrumental in the formation of the recently launched Digital Lenders Association of Kenya (DLAK) where she serves as the founding Chairperson.
