Syntura Appoints Tony Muiyuro As Regional Director

Tony Muiyuro has been appointed the new Regional Director for East Africa at Syntura, where he will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operations and steering its growth across the region.

Syntura is a global technology partner, providing advisory, infrastructure, and managed services. The company empowers organizations with solutions including modern workplace, cloud adoption, secure communications, and IT resilience.

With over ten years of experience, Tony brings extensive knowledge in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and governance to his new position. He has previously held leadership roles such as the Partner & Cybersecurity Leader at Deloitte, Associate Director KPMG , Cybersecurity Director at EY and Immediate Past President of ISACA Kenya Chapter. His contributions to shaping national ICT policies, particularly through his involvement in the National Cybersecurity Strategy, highlight his expertise in helping organizations develop secure and resilient digital infrastructures

As a member of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) Technology Experts Group and a member of the Advisory Board of the Africa Cyber Defense Forum, he plays an active role in guiding digital policy and security strategies across Africa. These roles provide him with the platform to collaborate with stakeholders on issues critical to the digital economy. In addition to his advisory roles, Muiyoro is involved with the Power Learn Project (PLP), an initiative dedicated to empowering young Africans with the tech skills needed to thrive in the digital world.

Muiyuro’s qualifications include a Master’s degree in Information Technology (MSc.IT) with a specialization in Information Systems Management and a range of certifications, including CISA, CRISC, CDPSE, and ITIL. He is particularly focused on guiding organizations through the complexities of digital transformation, ensuring that security and risk management remain central to the process. His approach involves leveraging emerging technologies to drive growth while ensuring that businesses stay secure in the ever-evolving digital landscape
