Schneider Electric’s Initiative To Support Next Generation Of Innovators
Schneider Electric Kenya has committed to nurture the future leaders of sustainable energy through the Scholar Grid Challenge initiative.
Held for trainees at PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute, the Scholar Grid Challenge brought together trainees who engaged in a rigorous competition to design a 10kVA renewable energy electrification system for under €5000. Two teams presented their innovations to a panel jury of judges, showcasing their dedication to driving impactful change in the renewable energy landscape.
During the initial phase of the competition, trainees were tasked with developing a concept note and received mentorship from seasoned experts across Schneider Electric. This guidance enriched their understanding of renewable energy systems while also fostering a collaborative environment, bringing industry experience to the classroom.
