Sage has announced that it will be participating in SME Fest 2016, an event that aims to boost small and medium enterprise growth in Kenya. Sage will be showcasing its Sage One accounting solution at the event, to be held in Nairobi, Kenya from 7 – 9 April 2016.
The SME Fest 2016 is an annual platform dedicated to the country’s SME industry and is determined to boost this sector by assisting SMEs with revenue growth opportunities, new distributor and dealer trade partnerships and business management solutions.
Kenya’s SME market contributes an estimated 45% to the country’s GDP and employs 85% of its workforce. The market is also recognised as East Africa’s entrepreneurship hub with a well-developed ecosystem that provides development support for the market with both financial and non-financial services.

“More and more Kenyan entrepreneurs trust us as they power the country’s economy. It is these entrepreneurs who are the drivers of prosperity and it’s our privilege and honour to serve them,” says Nikki Summers, Director for East and West Africa at Sage One.
“In a world where only the voices of the biggest are heard, we will always fight to hear the voice of the entrepreneur. This is why we are delighted to support an event that is all about celebrating and promoting small businesses and entrepreneurship in Kenya.”
She adds: “SME Fest is a perfect place for us to show how we are giving our customers the power to control their businesses from the palm of their hand and to reinvent and simplify business accounting. We enable our customers to focus on their business and help them to leapfrog to the future.”
