Sage, announced that together with the Sage Foundation they have worked to raise $30,000 for long-standing Sage customer New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity (NOAHH), a nonprofit organization helping low-income families in New Orleans to build and finance new, safe affordable homes.
Converging on New Orleans for the global Sage Summit, Sage staff have sold $15,000 worth of branded Mardi Gras beads in support of NOAHH. This sum is being matched by the new Sage global philanthropy model, Sage Foundation, to donate a grand sum of $30,000 to the organization.
Sage also announced from the event stage today that it is committing to a global relationship with Habitat for Humanity, with Sage colleagues volunteering in their programs around the world through the Sage Foundation. The Foundation is a unique model of giving 2+2+2: combining 2% of employee time each year, 2% of free cash flow,* and 2 donated user licenses of Sage smart technology for any registered charity, social enterprise, or nonprofit organization.

The New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, one the 10,000 nonprofit organizations served by Sage, has been a loyal Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate customer for six years and was at the heart of the community revitalization efforts following Hurricane Katrina 10 years ago. Sage is proud to be able to support NOAHH and its life-changing work.
Ivan Epstein, Sage Foundation chair and CEO of Sage AAMEA (Africa, Australia, Middle East and Asia), said: “At Sage we care and are committed to enhancing the lives of the less fortunate in a meaningful way. There are nearly 2 billion people around the world who live in slum housing, and more than 100 million are homeless. We can’t ignore numbers like these, and by introducing the Foundation model, Sage is able to support such incredible causes like New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. It’s simply the right thing to do with our resources anddemonstrates our commitment to redefining corporate philanthropy around the world.”
“This generous gift from Sage enables New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity to further fulfill our mission of bringing affordable home ownership to the deserving families of New Orleans,” said Jim Pate, executive director of New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. “As a business leader, Sage knows the importance of safe and stable communities. The Sage investment in Habitat means that local families will continue to improve their lives and their neighborhoods.”
