Safaricom’s Chief Executive Officer Bob Collymore says he is worth Sh387 million in net assets and income earned in the last 12 months.
This is according to an individual asset declaration he has submitted detailing what he owns.
His declaration follows the government’s promise to blacklist companies and directors who engage in corruption to disqualify them from accessing government tenders.The CEO, who has placed himself at the head of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s fight against corruption, has published his wealth as part of the private sector initiative with government.

According to the declaration, Collymore owns a residential house worth Sh54.6 million in London.
He also has cash balances in both local and UK banks which amount to Sh115.9 million.
Collymore has other net assets that include Safaricom Limited shares worth Sh18.3 million.

Additionally, he has Vodafone PLC shares worth Sh88.7 million.
Collymore, who has more than 30 years of working experience, has earned Sh108.8million in the last months with dividends and interest income amounting to Sh591.10.
“I do hereby declare that the information provided above is true and complete to the best of my knowledge, information and belief,” signs off Collymore on the individual assets declaration.

Others who have promised to declare their wealth include Kenya Commercial Bank’s Group CEO Joshua Oigara and Chief Justice Willy Mutunga.
The declaration comes at a time when the world is marking International Anti-Corruption Day.
