Saccos And Technology To Be Brought Together At The Africa SaccoTech Forum

In Africa today, we barely have a saving culture. Something Saccos have been trying to improve for a while now. As we know, Saccos are one of the most popular saving platforms in Africa. Saccos continue to grow in Kenya with more employed Kenyans using them as a tool for saving towards achieving their various goals in life. They have the look and feel of an industry that can improve the saving culture in Africa.

As Saccos are growing – there are 22,000 of those in Kenya alone – it is important to note technology is also growing. And the more tech grows, the cheaper it becomes. It is clear digital transformation has been fast-tracked in Africa because of the pandemic. Today, most Saccos are incorporating a lot of technology to improve their services and improve the experience of their members.

In this light, dx5 is hosting the big players in the Sacco space in Kenya and the continent at the Africa SaccoTech Forum on 21 April 2022. The event has already pricked the interest of tech companies and Saccos in Kenya.

The Africa SaccoTech Forum will start with a CEO’s breakfast where there will be a high-level discussion on how digital transformation has changed the way Saccos are run especially during COVID-19. Breakfast will border around the pillars of CIO Africa; technology, leadership, and business.

As one of the highlights of the event, the CEO Breakfast will host a panel discussion on the topic Why Should Saccos Think About Digital Transformation? It will set the tone for the rest of the event from 9 am, when Kelly Bentley, the CEO of dx5 will officially declare the Forum open.
