The digital content distribution company, Publiseer, has been selected as one of the 10 socially driven businesses of the Migration Entrepreneurship Prize. Selected by the Human Security Division of the Swiss FDFA, Publiseer joins the Seedstars Investment Readiness Program (IRP). The Migration Entrepreneurship prize aims at supporting socially driven businesses that provide innovative solutions that alleviate pressure on people moving through irregular channels.
The FDFA’s Human Security Division (HSD) is responsible for the promotion of peace and human rights as set out in the Federal Council’s foreign policy strategy. It focuses on the security of the individual and protecting people against violence, war, and acts of arbitrary treatment. It works towards ensuring that policy on migrants and refugees is based on human dignity. The HSD is part of the Directorate of Political Affairs.

Publiseer is a digital platform that helps under-served and independent African writers, musicians, and filmmakers from low-income communities, earn above the minimum wage and live above the poverty line from the sales of their creative works. Publiseer does this by helping them distribute, protect, promote and monetize their creative works across over 400 well-established partner stores worldwide, at no charge, with just a single click.
Every day, Publiseer discovers local African talents and give them a platform to focus on what they love doing the most, which is to create, while Publiseer handles the tedious business of transforming their creativity into wealth for them. Founded by identical twin brothers, Chidi Nwaogu and Chika Nwaogu, Publiseer launched the publiSHEr initiative last year to bridge the gender imbalance gap in the field of digital media.
