Owing to the current situation with the global pandemic COVID-19 and by presidential declaration, the eagerly awaited Cloud & Security Summit (CSS) 2020 has been postponed. Scheduled for end of this week at the Serena Hotel, Nairobi, it now falls on the following new dates; 16th and 17th of April 2020.
Speaking on the postponement, the CIO East Africa CEO Laura Chite said, “As a responsible organisation, CIO East Africa will support the government directive on Covid-19 by postponing the Summit to a later date. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your understanding and look forward to hosting you in the future.”
The Summit, dubbed The Biggest Cybersecurity Summit in East Africa, retains it’s solid program, line up of experts and institutions set to address issues such as data protection, where the Data Protection Act and GDPR are expected to be invoked, a session by the mesmerising Dr. Bright Mawudor, with panelists discussingsessions such as The Workforce of the Future and delving deep into The Roles of CISO vs CIOs. Cloud Computing will not be left behind with The Future of Cloud as a particularly riveting conclusion away from conversations such as Moving From Knowing the Risks to Mitigating the Risks in Cloud, a talk that will break down your software vulnerabilities and the shared responsibilities between the cloud consumer, and the cloud service provider (CSP).
