Kenya is among five countries hosting the Polycom MENA Partner conference this year, a move which will see this conference hosted in six countries for the first time.
Held annually, the conference kicks off in Dubai, on March 18 and 19, 2015 while Nairobi will host its leg of the conference on April 29, 2015.
The remaining four countries set to host the conference include: Saudi Arabia (14-15 April), Morocco (21-22 April), Egypt (13 May) and Nigeria (20 May).

The first leg was held at the Address Marina and hosted by FVC, Polycom’s authorised Value Added Distributor and training Partner in the UAE region, FVC, hosted 70 partners from UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Pakistan at its FVC-Polycom Partner Conference.
The MENA Partner conference gives FVC’s Polycom partners in the region the opportunity to meet the senior management from Polycom, get a preview of new products and network with fellow partners, sharing best practices and new business development strategies.
“Our Polycom partner network has expanded across the region and, as we continue to invest in resources closer to our markets across the region, it is becoming increasingly important to take our events to the local markets,” said K. S. Parag, Managing Director at FVC. “Taking our popular Polycom Partner event closer to our partners’ markets means we also have an opportunity to share our strategies with more of our local partners and also the opportunity to talk to their customers and share some of the exciting new technologies first hand.”

This year’s events focuses on highlighting the effectiveness of enabling face-to-face, remote collaboration in real-time; working across business functions, geographies and vertical markets, defying distance.
The Polycom Partner conference in Dubai was attended by 70 representatives from 35 partners from the FVC partner community in UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In addition to the conference, the partners visited the newly revamped FVC Executive Briefing Centre in Dubai.

This gave them a for a first-hand experience of a wide range of solutions from Polycom as well as value added accessories from its eco-system partners like Barco, Ashton-Bentley, Vaddio and Edgewater Networks.
