His Excellency said this during an interview with Forbes.com, when he was welcoming Uber into the country.
“Uganda is a good place for Uber to invest. It is going to improve services to our people and with improved services, capacity to do business increases. So Uber is very welcome. The coming of Uber is very welcome because it will increase the competition, create jobs and make it easier for Ugandans to get affordable [transport] services,” he said.
The citizens of Kampala were introduced to Uber on 02 June 2016, with Kampala being the 462 city to offer people the chance to get a ride at the tap of a button, at an affordable price.
