The Oxford Learner’s Dictionary of Academic English (OLDAE) is the winner of the Innovation in Learner Resources category of the British Council ELTons awards; which recognize quality and innovation in English-language teaching products and services.
The dictionary was developed by Oxford University Press (OUP), the world’s authority on the English language, for students studying other academic subjects in English. The app version of the dictionary was developed with OUP by Paragon Software Group, a leading multi-platform software developer for mobile devices and desktop computers.
Diana Lea, Managing Editor, Oxford University Press said ‘We are really proud that we have created a dictionary that we believe meets the needs of students studying English for academic purposes around the world in a way that no other dictionary currently does. I am delighted that it has been recognized how glamorous, exciting and innovative a dictionary can be.’
