OPPO, LipaLater partner to increase availability of OPPO F9 in Kenya

OPPO partners with LipaLater to increase availability of their recently launched phone OPPO F9 in Kenya.

Lipa Later, a Kenyan credit company will ensure that customers get the F9 readily available and pay for it later in affordable monthly installments.

“LipaLater is a payment option that allows people to pay for things in monthly installments. Ideally what that is, is that we allow people not to worry about not buying the electronic upfront and they can pay for it in monthly installments across 12 months. This partnership with OPPO will ensure customers use the F9 unrestrictedly at the same price whilst it still comes insured,” said Eric Muli, CEO, Lipa Later.

The Device has been on pre-order since 10th September 2018 and will officially go on sale on 24th September at a price of Kshs 35,990 for the 4GB version and for the 6GB for Kshs 37,990.

The OPPO F9 comes with the latest super-fast charging technology, VOOC Flash Charge, with a 5-minute charging time for a 2-hour talk time, it also brings gradient colors as well as a unique Waterdrop Screen design that offers elegance, operability and new vision.

At a time when consumers are looking for specific features in a device, OPPO has designed the revolutionary VOCC Flash Charge Technology (Voltage Open Loop Multi-Step Constant-Current Charging), a technology that has been developed exclusively by and for OPPO.

The VOOC technology applies a low voltage fast charging mechanism to deliver rapid charge at a speed four times faster than the normal conventional charging technology while ensuring a safe charging process with five layers of protection from the charging adapter to smartphone, including low temperature and voltage.

You can also use your phone while charging and still obtain the same levels of super-fast charging.

Boosting of a five-layer protection system the OPPO F9 is ideal for a variety of electric current. The first layer has a sensor that enables the phone to automatically detect the voltage and adjust accordingly. The second layer is through the VOCC Identification built into the adapter, identifying if the device supports flash charging.

The third layer enables overload protection. The fourth layers in the device detects voltage levels to release overload protection and current into the battery. The fifth layer offers the customer a fuse in the device that will cut out any excess current into the phone battery while charging. These layers guarantee security and protection of the phone and the customer.

Based on Android 8.1, the phone comes in two variants a 4GB RAM and a 6 GB RAM both having a 64GB Storage which can further be expanded with an internal microSD card of up to 256GB. For the first time, OPPO F series is equipped with dual rear cameras (16MP + 2MP) also pioneering the 25MP A.I front camera.

OPPO brings the ColorOS 5.2 Operating System to create a smarter interactive experience for users. The F9 is equipped with the Google Lens that identifies objects and shows relevant search results and information.

VOCC Charging was launched in 2014, and has gained over 500 patents, with the technology in use with over 90 million customers.
