Introducing: New Nokia smartphones, a new member of the Originals family, and a brand-new hassle-free data roaming service
When Florian Seiche HMD Global CEO introduced the #NokiaMobileLive event thus, “Our first event of 2020 that shows how Nokia is getting better,” he was referring to quite a handful. Launched live from Finland, simultaneously all across the globe were three new Nokia phones 8.3 5G, 5.3 and 5310, alongside an app. HMD Connect, and a promise to set up shop in Brazil. They also claimed their spot in pop culture by strapping Agent 00 Nomi with the only gadget she will ever need. If all these leave you slightly breathless, keep in mind that not only have they won 6 awards, most recently for their sleek designs, their market share rose again in the last quarter. They remain the only smartphones in the market that do monthly updates, and have upgraded up to 10 Nokia smartphone brands to Android 10.

This brings us to the phones. A little bit about them. The star of the show and reason for the virtual gathering was the Nokia 8.3 5G. It made its debut in No Time to Die, postponed till November 2020 thanks to COVID-19. It retails at 599 Euros.

Then there is the Nokia 5.3 described as “Pushing segment boundaries in design, performance and imaging with a versatile quad camera and stunning Nordic design,” retailing at 189 Euros; and Nokia 5310, the latest member of the Originals family retailing at 39 Euros.

HMD Global also introduced a brand-new service category with HMD Connect global data roaming, an app you want to install especially if your corporation favours Nokia and you cover a lot of distance.
